Dr. Brittany Carr, University of Alberta, was awarded a $200,000 Early Career Research Grant from Fighting Blindness Canada, and is diving deep into the mysteries of photoreceptors—specialized cells that allow us to see.
Dr. Matthew Benson, University of Alberta, is one of the recipients of the Fighting Blindness Canada Research Grant. Dr. Benson hopes to test a potential therapy that could be useful for certain inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) and age-related macular degeneration.
