Maritime Ride for Sight
Celebrates 30 years....
June 11, 2011
Steeltown Park, Trenton, Nova Scotia
Thank you riders for bringing in over $15,000 this weekend.
It was a sunny day in Steeltown Park in Trenton, Nova Scotia and a perfect day for a group ride. Ride for Sight celebrated its 30th anniversary on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Here are pictures from the ride. Thank you riders for making this a memorable day!

The Town of Trenton is thrilled to be hosting Ride for Sight and the park itself is perfectly suited for activities on site. With plenty of space and amenities inside the park, this is an ideal location for Ride for Sight fundraisers to enjoy free camping, a vendor marketplace, bike games, show n’ shine, classic car display and live music on Saturday night. We’ll kick things off with our traditional motorcycle parade leaving from Steeltown Park on Saturday morning, enjoy a scenic ride through the heart of New Glasgow and return to the park for all of the festivities.
Just raise a minimum of $50 to secure your spot at this year’s Ride for Sight. Remember, 100% of all donations raised go directly to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. “Not many people know that Ride for Sight motorcyclists and their family and friends have been the largest community funding Canadian vision research for more than 30 years,” said Sharon Colle, President and CEO, Foundation Fighting Blindness. “Their commitment to fund research into the causes, the needed treatments and ultimately the cures for blindness is inspiring.”
